Villasimius tourist information
Villasimius
Travelling from Cagliari along the eastern coastroad, about 50 minutes far from the capital, we’ll arrive to a small village of just 3000 inhabitants. We’re talking about Villasimius, very well known tourist destination that during the summer counts up to 60.000 presences per month. All thanks to the uncountable series of wonderful places, visible from the panoramic coastroad that lives everyone breathless. But Villasimius is not only beaches and sea: plenty of discos, nights, pizzerie and restaurants, it’s also one of the preferred destination for the “people of the night”. Passed the village centre, on the right you’ll find the large beach of Campulongu appearing in the Capo Carbonara gulf, where you might often meet cormorans. Along the road to Capo Carbonara you’ll arrive to the marina, recently re-handled and modernized for the needs of those yachtsmen who choose the boat as mean of transport for reaching this spot of paradise. On the left instead, you’ll find the beautiful Simius beach, characterised by the high temperature of sea. This is due to the area’s morphology, protected from the sea currents and plenty of marine animals and plants
