Comment: Absolutely magnificent. The staff actually left a hand and foot in the room in case we needed anything. I suppose there may be nicer places to stay, but I've never even seen a photo of such a place. The Danieli is a 14th century palace with an impressive history. The location is perfect - directly in front of a waterbus stop, about a 3 minute walk from San Marco's Square, and right on the lagoon. The hotel did not adequately accomodate a third guest (a child), but we were still very comfortable. If the city weren't so fantastic, it'd be very difficult to leave this hotel.

Comment: This is supposed to be a Starwood Luxury Property and I think it's 5 star rating should be re-eavaluated. Our room had stains on the furniture & carpet and the walls were in dire need of paint. The hotel staff was aloof and unhelpful until we threated to leave...........I would not recommend this hotel to any traveler who wants a 4 or 5 star hotel!
