Ca Pisani Hotel description
Hotel Ca' Pisani is located in the centre of Venice, housed in a palazzo built in the late 1500s.The 1930s and '40s period furniture blend with the renovations and refurbishing to make Hotel Ca' Pisani the ideal setting if you're looking to recapture the vivid history of this unique city.
Ca' Pisani was the first design hotel to be built in Venice. It offers an alternative to the classic Venetian hotel and is often frequented by leading figures of the arts. The hotel's exterior boasts a beautiful façade dating back to the fifteenth-century: a striking contrast to its eclectic interiors.
The palazzo itself is a fine example of a late thirteenth-century Venetian building of the nobility. In the late sixteenth century, the architect Roberto Canovaro renovated the palazzo whilst retaining its original character and turned it into a 29-bedroom hotel.
The style is very reminiscent of the nineteen thirties and forties with its Futurist figurative/geometric patterns, although it also features many contemporary details that give a modern-day feel: starlights or wrought iron, drops of silver or deep red hues, bamboo, marble and walnut wood.
Each room is luxuriously different and is furnished with original 30s and 40s period furniture and other thoughtful additions.
Attention is given to every detail: each of the 29 doors has a different design, the beds are original collectors' items, the soft furnishings have been individually selected and the bathrooms are built with polished marble.
Each bathroom has a truly innovative "starlight" and a deep tub with hydromassage as well as a hairdryer and towel heater.
