The rooms capture the essence of 18TH century Venice, while offering present-day visitors the comfort and convenience they have come to expect. However long you decide to stay in Venice, you will be sure to feel at home at Ca' Dogaressa. Ca' Dogaressa is easy to reach whether you arrive in the city by train or by car. It overlooks the canale di Cannaregio and is therefore an ideal place from which to watch the annual "Vogalonga" boat race. Each year this colourful, non-competitive race attracts more and more participants from all over the world.

The ancient Ghetto is just a few minutes' walk away, as are other important historical buildings: Palazzo Surian, where the philosopher Rousseau was Secretary at the French Embassy; Palazzo Labia, where you can admire frescoes by Tiepolo; Palazzo Vendramin Calergi, where Richard Wagner spent his last years, and which is now home to the Casino; Ca' Doro, a 15th century palazzo whose name derives from the gilded decorations that once adorned its facade. Ca' Dogaressa is very near the Strada Nuova, one of the most important shopping areas for visitors and locals alike. This wide street, which runs parallel to the Grand Canal, will take you past market stalls, shops churches and cafés as you head for the Rialto bridge. All the rooms at Ca' Dogaressa have been decorated and furnished in such a way as to recreated the charm and atmosphere of 18th century Venice, while at the same time offering visitors every modern comfort and convenience.
