Sun, Romance and Fantasy… This may seem like the title of an old film but these are the things that inspired Mr. Vittorio Serluca to create his life-long dream in 1971. First it was a quaint little hotel rising above the beautiful Gulf of Salerno shores, along the coast road of Pontecagnano. From the windows you can see the sea and the beautiful view of the Gulf of Salerno. The hotel’s regular customers have admired the beauty of the coastline for years, and have benefited from its refined hospitality. Then the Vittorio family grew, two children were born. Gaetano and Elio, now grown up,they have given a new style to the hotel with the help of their mother, Mrs Sira. Today The Hotel Olimpico is a three-star hotel consisting of 38 large rooms. They are quiet and comfortable with on-suite bathroom facilities, air conditioning, colour televisions with satellite, hairdryer, telephone facilities and balconies. Some rooms overlook the wonderful seascape, whilst other land facing rooms overlook the beauty and the tranquillity of the immense gardens surrounding the building. The garden’s beautiful fountain is the setting for silence and relaxation which is one of the things that the Hotel Olimpico’s customers covet the most. Inside, there is a large covered car park, a quiet play area for children, a bowling green, a luxurious solarium and a comfortable communal television area. What makes Hotel Olimpico special is its particularly genuine cuisine, faithful in every detail to national and Cilento gastronomic traditions where every dish is accurately prepared with fresh and top-quality goods. To make your children’s stay more enjoyable, the Hotel Olimpico offers parents a small kitchenette where they can personally prepare their children’s meals. It is just 50 metres from the hotel where the customers can enjoy a large private beach and the use of a beach umbrella, 1 deckchairs and 1 sun-lounger per room, hot showers, changing rooms and the watchful presence of a lifeguard. There is lively animation consisting of games and parties with different themes, these can involve the parents and other guests as well.Our brand new swimming pool located in the garden will be open for the end of March 2005. The pool is big enough (25 meters) to swim laps. Or you can relax in our fabulous hydromassage. There is a dedicated children’s area that is not deep.The pool is nestled amidst beautiful gardens and receives wonderful sunshine and there many places to relax in the shadeThe Hotel Olimpico is situated in a very strategic position for excursions to Paestum, Amalfi and the Amalfi Coast, Positano, Sorrento, Naples, Mount Vesuvius, Ravello, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri and Ischia (60 minutes and 90 minutes) by hydrofoil from Salerno.For those of you who would like a holiday full of entertainment and night life, there are night clubs just a few kilometres away, among them are some of the most famous in Campania.
