Le Sirenuse Hotel description
Le Sirenuse opened in 1951, when the Sersale family decided to turn their summer house in Positano into a small elegant hotel. They started with eight rooms and a large terrace overlooking the Islands of the Sirens. Fifty years later the hotel has 62 rooms with all the comforts of a five star luxury hotel without losing the atmosphere of a family home. All our rooms are full of light and decorated with a combination of antique and contemporary furniture, contrasting cool whitewashed walls. The floors are covered with colourful tiles from Vietri. Most rooms have a balcony or terrace overlooking the azure sea where at night the gentle sound of waves can be heard. Located in the heart of the building, the original part of the house, our suites can be made up with one or two bedrooms. With vaulted ceilings, the rooms are decorated with antique furniture, handmade tiles, old master paintings and watercolours. Our junior suites are spacious and luxurious, having a beautiful balcony or terrace overlooking the sea. All our rooms are individually air conditioned and equipped with mini bar, safety box and cable TV. A selection of more than 450 DVDs is available free of charge for your private entertainment in your own room. Bathrooms are decorated either with colourful Vietri tiles or precious marbles. All have a shower and a whirlpool bath. Our newly created EAU D'ITALIE products are scented with the essence of the legendary Mediterranean. Draw on the mystical powers of bergamot and magnolia with a whisper of incense, to transform yourself into a seducer... With the sea straight ahead, the village of baroque houses climbing the hill to the right, and the tiled dome of the Mother Church almost close enough to be touched, the view from our terraces is breathtaking. The pool terrace is the largest of all and with potted lemon trees surrounding the pool is perfect for sunbathing.
