On the beautiful lava cliff of Acireale, between Catania and Taormina, stands the Santa Tecla Palace, a four-star Hotel full of Mediterranean charm, situated in an exceptional position with a panoramic view. There are 209 very spacious rooms, all provided with bathroom, telephone, satellite TV, fridge bar, centralized air-conditioning and balcony or loggia. The majority have a sea view, while the rest enjoy the splendid view of the *Timpa*, with its lush vegetation. There are also many facilities available to guests, including the bar and the snack bar, the restaurant, the large halls for receptions, a modern congress center, the 2 seawater swimming pools, the private beach made up of rocks, fully-equipped sun terrace and a comfortable entry to the sea, the piano bar and a large car park. The Hotel also offers facilities for the disabled and a babysitting service. Sports enthusiasts will find the tennis courts, gymnasium and equipment for water sports available, while the animation staff entertain guests with evening shows. Naturally, excursions are organized to the most beautiful places in the area, as far as Piazza Armerina and Agrigento and there is also shuttle service to the thermal baths at Acireale Terme. The Hotel is open from April 18 to October 30 2003.
