Netanya tourist information
Netanya is a seaside resort city, which boasts some of the loveliest beaches in Israel. Visitors can enjoy the lovely shoreline by walking on the new 700-meter-long sea promenade situated along the sea cliff. The promenade also offers playgrounds, benches, grassy areas, and bicycle routes.
Its location, in the center of the country only one hour from Jerusalem, thirty minutes north of Tel Aviv and near the northern part of Israel, makes it a perfect base for many of the important sites in Israel. Twenty minutes north of Netanya is ancient Caesarea, while forty minutes away lie Megiddo and Jezreel Valley. Ancient Jaffa is thirty minutes to the south.
The city offers many activities free of charge all year round, endless sports facilities, enchanting white beaches, water sports, paragliding, horseback riding and sizzling nightlife. The city offers many options, including cinemas, bars, discos, and several modern shopping centers.
Agricultural villages, orchards and orange groves, open fields and authentic Israeli countryside surround Netanya. These areas can be best visited by a short day trip by car. Those who are fascinated by wildlife can feed the huge turtles in the Alexander River, surviving against all odds in the semi-polluted waters of the river. Finally, do not miss a visit to the nursery of Kfar Rupin, where agricultural experiments are being conducted on a large variety of plants from all around the world. Netanya's mild climate, beautiful gardens & promenade malls, with its wide range of hotels that caters to every taste and every pocket makes it a great resort destination.
