Las Vegas – what first springs into your mind when you say the words or hear them?
For most it would be a million twinkling neon lights, crazy fun, and extreme entertainment, and that is probably exactly what sums up this crazy city in the middle of the desert!
From huge themed hotels, casinos to make your fortune, shops to spend your fortune, and more food than you will ever be able to eat, Las Vegas is a riot in the best possible way, and everyone should visit at least once in their life!
Finding somewhere to stay is not a problem here, as there are countless choices on offer, all of which are just as crazy as the place itself! Of course, another main point of Vegas is the shows – the famous Vegas show girls, the big named stars playing residencies, and the magic of walking into a venue and being thrilled for the following couple of hours.
The best Vegas shows change regularly, and getting tickets for them can be a minefield if you don’t know what problems you need to side step. You only have to walk down the Strip for a few minutes and you will come into contact with someone trying to sell you tickets for a big show – these are not official tickets and you should say a resounding ‘no’ to anyone who tries to sell them to you. Stick to official websites and the theatre Box Office only, because this is the only way you can be sure that you are going to get valid tickets for your hard-earned cash.
What will you see? If you love Cirque Du Soleil than you are certainly in for a treat, because there are several shows from the world famous group across the city, including Michael Jackson ONE, The Beatles LOVE, O, Ka, Mystere, and Zumanity. La Reve – The Dream is a similar sort of vibe, playing at Wynn Las Vegas, and Blue Man Group at The Luxor is another you should certainly check out.
For musical thrills, there is always a huge star playing a residency in at least one place in Vegas, and you can check out the amazing voice of Celine Dion at Caesars Palace. Brittany Spears has also recently played a long residency, showing that some of the world’s biggest musical stars love to head to the desert and entertain the masses! It’s certainly worth checking out events regularly, because there are also one off shows form huge stars too.
For magical kicks, head to The Luxor and check out Criss Angel’s Mindfreak, or perhaps Penn & Teller at Rio, or Mat Franco at The LINQ. Terry Fator is playing at Mirage also, as well as famous Carrot Top at The Luxor.
There are countless shows to enjoy in Vegas, and it all depends on what you want to see – if you can try and factor in a couple of shows during your time, definitely do so, because a Vegas show really is the greatest show on earth.
