The romantic city of Heidelberg is Germany's oldest seat of learning and the picturesque 530 year-old Die Hirschgasse is its oldest building! Through the ages, the hotel has attracted many tourists including Mark Twain who referred to it in "A Tramp Abroad" and Count Bismark who carved his name into a 200 year-old table in 'Mensurstube', the hotel's historic restaurant named after the student duelling associations. The enchanting guest suites come in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes, all elegance and comfort, with luxury showcase bathrooms. There is variety, too,in the dining: a choice of hearty regional German dishes or fine gastronomic French cuisine served in the renowned candlelit 'Le Gourmet' restaurant. Memories will include the wonderful setting, everywhere is walkable: woods of the Holy Mountain, Philosopher's Walk with its fabulous views, the Neckar's riverbank or the old city and its castle across the picturesque bridge. Salon Suites with two bedrooms - These rooms have an additional bedroom with an own bathroom for single occupancy. The two bedrooms are separated by a salon-an own living area. All in all there are three rooms which accommodate easily three adults. There is also the possibility to put up a cot for a baby in the salon, so if really needed, also three adults and one baby could sleep in a salon suite.
