Heidelberg is a nice university city laying on Neckar River. Most famous Heidelberg Castle invites for a visit. You can climb up by feet or simply take a mountain train ride. Within the castle you can taste wines of the area, which I highly can recommend. The view from the castle down to the city is amazing. If you have a chance to see Heidelberg on a sunny day, the old town is one of the loveliest old towns of Germany. Whenever you visit Heidelberg, make sure, you have a umbrella with you. As of Restaurants, the city offers local specialty restaurants as well as Beer Pubs, Coffees and international cuisine. I highly recommend you to visit Wirtshaus Zum Seppl, one of the oldest Students Restaurants in Heidelberg. You can enjoy dinner starting from 5 Euros. Food is huge and quality.
