The town is ideal for exploring the Cote d'Azur as it is easy to connect with the autoroute, is only 15 minutes from Cannes Railway station, and is a friendly town, with very good CHEAP restaurants if you stay away from the old town. At the bottom of the town, towards Grasse there is a Champion supermarket, and opposite this is a very unprepossing looking family run restaurant, which is usually full of locals. We have eaten there on several occasions, and have always had an excellent, basic meal with good choices of wine and really friendly staff.Do try out your French here, they do appreciate the effort and will help you out with pleasure. The hill back up to Mougins is a steep one so be prepared to walk off your lunch or Dinner!
