Visiting Honfluer is like going backwards in time especially if you stay in the old town as we did. We went to the grocery and brought our meal back in a little wheeled cart. All times of day and all weather is beautiful in Honfleur. It's really getting away from it all.l

On our first trip to France, we took the advice of our daughter who was living in Paris and skipped Honfleur. On our second trip, our imagination got the best of us and we left the main highway and drove into Honfleur. What a wonderful surprise! The city is one of the most quaint and picturesque I've ever been in! The harbor is beautiful, and the scene of many a movie. The old wooden church with its unique double nave, built in the tradition of Viking ships is a must see, as well as the absolutely amazing and beautiful Satie museum. The narrow, crooked streeets of boutiques, cheese shops, and patisseries are beautiful. DO NOT MISS THIS CITY!!!!
