Comment: It is fascinating to stay in a castle that was formerly serving as a modern day prison. Lots of details to attention to make it even more a hoot such as little alarms going off in elevators and remote doorways seeming to lock you out. Location was great for perusing one of our favorite towns in all of Britain. Rooms were intentionally created to combine a sinister and dark atmostphere with a hip and chic culture. Parking was a fortune so we parked in lot outside of town and took bus into town which I highly recommend because traffic was more insane than London.
