Some find it at sea. Others on a desert island, along with the coconuts. Closer to home you can discover it deep in the folds of the beautiful Looe Valley in South East Cornwall, at The Well House Country House Hotel and Restaurant.
What is it´ Well, it’s an almost transcendental tranquillity, a delicious inner calm that really makes the world go away. We call it ‘Well House-being’, you’ll call it a godsend.
Our award-winning luxury country manor house, with 9 superbly appointed bedrooms, is in another world - with no room numbers on the doors, no racks of tourist leaflets in the hall and no plastic credit card signs on reception.
It’s no wonder we’re one of the AA's highest rated luxury hotels in Cornwall and a recent Good Hotel Guide César winner. We boast picture book Cornish gardens with ponds and a gentle stream fed by the Holy Well of St Keyne as it winds its way into the valley.
There’s also a 'club' size all-weather tennis court, heated swimming pool and croquet lawns.
