I think Harrogate is a beautiful place to stay, particularly for a weekend, or if venturing into the Dales. There is not enough for more than 3-4 days unless you simply relax. It has some amazing restaurants, great nightlife and picturesque Victorian buildings and architecture. The town can become a little crowded, but is nothing compared to city's, and has a wonderful atmosphere in Summer. Shopping is very classy and caters for tourists and wealthy locals alike, and can become a major attraction. Accomodation is not great, although the Majestic Hotel, Hotel Du Vin, and The Yorkshire have received very good reviews, although none are all that bad. Overall, a lovely spa town with flowers everywhere!
