Comment: The Cantlie Suites was a wonderful hotel for young travelers. I've stayed at this hotel twice in the past year and loved it. It is close to Rue Cresent where the younger crowd goes out and Rue Ste. Catherine, Times Square of Montreal. It is very reasonably priced for a four star hotel. The staff is very polite. Views from the pool are amazing and so is the sun (who thought you could get a tan from vacationing in Canada?). My only complaint is the utter slowness of the elevators. Other than that, the hotel is beautiful and the stay was wonderful.

Comment: You could pay more and get fancy meeting rooms and stunning entrances. If youi want a place that is very nice but without all those extras, Le Cantlie is it. Our room was on the 16th floor at the back---great view of the city. Room was modern and clean. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

Comment: The room was a little larger than most. Health club nice but small. good location near McGill, three blocks from the art museum. Kitchenette was a boon, particularly since we tried room service twice and they were out of what we wanted (cheese plate?). Couldn't supply a pizza to order because they were premade and frozen. could be cleaner. But for the good package deal we got (last minute), there was little special about this hotel. but Montreal was very much fun, great food, friendly people. i added a smiley face to the hotel rating for the overall experience.

Comment: This hotel is great. It's centrally located and the staff are very very attentive. Room service, should you need it, is awesome. The food is great. I plan on staying here whenever I am in Montreal!!

Comment: this hotel is located convienently by the shopping mecca. It is les then a block to the metro station to all the sites. The daily parking rate is a little steep $19 but allows unlimited in and out access. The rooms are big and have great views. The kitchen area is very small but will do for a short stay.

Comment: This is the third time at Le Cantlie, and I continue to like it a lot. The room this time, however, could use a bit of attention. Curtain off hook (hook was bent), dust here and there. Still, attractive rooms, wonderfully kind personnel, and a can't-be-beat location. I like it!

Comment: We picked this hotel for it's location: near Metro, close to downtown shops. We were happy with the room's features,especially the kitchen. The only negative is the front desk service is cold and not helpful (had to ask for a key to access the pool.)

Comment: Hotel Cantlie was a nice hotel. Our room was large and clean. We were on the 25th floor of the building, facing Mont-Royal park, which was beautiful. One complaint...one day we were out from 9 am till 11pm and our room was never cleaned and we had no clean towels. It took management one hour to bring up clean towels, and they barely appologized or provided any compensation. Other than their problems with housekeeping and management, our stay at the hotel was pleasant overall.

Comment: Not as fancy as could be, but the rooftop pool is awesome. The views from the hotel are beautiful, and location is great. Hotel parking always works for us. The rooms are basic, and we had to ask for extra towels, pillows and tea, but having a kitchenette is a great idea. The gym, basic as is, allows for a great workout for both a fitness pro and a beginner as it includes the swiss ball. We had a good experience, since we were a group of 3 friends, instead of a couple.

Comment: If you book through montreal VIP, they claim this is a 4-star hotel, as well as the hotel itself. This is at most a 2.5 star hotel. The wall paper is coming off, the showers are dirty, and they charge for everything from a late check out to parking to a conversion rate 30% lower than a hotel. Stay away.

Comment: Overall I was disapponted in the quality of the hotel. It's location is excellent, near to McGill, museums , business district and Shopping. The rooms are a great size for a family offering much more room than typical hotels. But,the entire facility is in nead of updating rooms, qym (a joke), bathrooms etc. Though the hotel advertises high speed internet, the signal was so weak in my room that I couldn't get a reliable connection, this alone will prevent me from staying here on my frequent business trips to Montreal

Comment: The hotel had a very nice suite for a family of five. The only problem was we gave the kids the two queen beds and we got the pull out couch. Not exactly as I had wanted. The front desk folks were nasty. The bar was ok. Average drinks.

Comment: This hotel was a big dissa ppoitment. Location was good but hotel facilities were non-existent. Small out door pool, uninspiring gym, insufficient towels in room, tired decor, food left in hallways all night until the next morning when roos service picked it up, valet parking that included standing on the garage ramp to pick up the car. Overall, website is very misleading.

Comment: This hotel was not what I had expected and looks nothing like what it advertises on the internet. A major disappointment. One good thing was location. Aside from that the outdoor pool was small and there where no towels. The decor of the rooms looked old and the condition of he bathrooms where sadly in need or upgrade, small, and lacked even a simple exhaust fan to keep it from steaming up. Overall this hotel is not worth the money and is improperly classified as a 3 diamond hotel.
