Hawkesbury has easy acces via Highways 401 and 417. The Mirabel International Airport and the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport are both at less than 45 minutes from Hawkesbury. Both downtown Ottawa and Montreal are at less than one hour of travelling time. The Outaouais River also provides easy access to Hawkesbury for boat owners.
Formely known for its pulp and paper mill, Hawkesbury now has a thriving industrial complex with about thirty industries, many commercial businesses and a sports complex with an indoor swimming pool and two skating rinks. With its clean air and its outdoor recreational facilities such as skiing, boating, golf, etc., Hawkesbury is the ideal spot if you are thinking about relocating.
