There are around a dozen golf courses within a half hours drive from historical downtown known as Hurontario Street that was once known as the Chicago of the North. There are over 60 kilometers of trails in Collingwood where you can walk, bike, or ride horseback and you can link up to the Georgian Trail and Bruce Trail from our trails system. Tennis, boating, kayaking, rock climbing, fishing, hiking and extreme mountain biking are just some of the activities you can experience.

Our many pubs and music clubs, a new live theatre producing live entertainment and our many fine restaurants providing both top quality live music from Jazz to Punk Rock and an abundant range of excellent food experiences to fit any taste or pocket book. Shopping Downtown Collingwood offers a variety of quaint boutiques with unique giftware and trendy shops in a restored heritage district that is a must to visit.

Many exciting events take place throughout the summer including the Triathlon, Horseshow, live Theatre and the renowned Collingwood Elvis Festival that takes place at the end of July. Summer concludes with The Rotary Club of Collingwood’s Annual Dragon Boat Races and Gully Town – a night of country music at the Gayety Theatre that will bring back memories.
