Salzburg is one of the most exciting Cities of Austria. Things that you defnetly should see, when visiting Salzburg are the "Burg". You might want to use the cablecar, to get up there. If you visited the Burg, I highly recommend you to walk to the old Naturfreundehaus. There you have a wonderful view over the City and can enjoy some local drinks and food for less. In the city itself, you must see the Getreidegasse with its Shops. Another must is a stroll along the Salzach, the river going through the city. By a chance, you might be there in sommer and have a chance to visit the Salzburg Music Festival. Another place a little outside of Salzburg would be the Castle "Schloss Hellbrunn", with its watergames. If you like the mountains, close to Salzburg you find the Gaisberg, which offers you also great views down to the city.
