More and more of us are looking towards different destinations to spruce up our holiday options.
If you’re bored of sitting on a beach, or you’re sick of doing city breaks, then it might be time to answer that call of nature and head to somewhere which promises the natural world in abundance, as well as plenty of culture and history thrown in for good measure.
Costa Rica is becoming an increasingly popular choice for nature holidays, and even if you don’t particularly fancy the idea of trekking through a forest and nature spotting (if not, why not?!) then there are still some amazing beaches to chill the hell out on during a visit, some of which are seemingly straight from a paradise castaway vision.
Costa Rica vacations are much more accessible than they ever used to be, and this is great news for those who want to head to this once rather inaccessible place, with the safety net of a package break put in place for them. Not everyone wants to visit destinations on their own steam, and not everyone wants to travel across borders – a package break to Costa Rica is therefore the perfect option.
Most people will stop by the capital city, predictably because that is where the main airport is. San Jose is full of cultural sights to check out, including the picturesque Old Town. Many visitors choose to spend a few days in the city, before heading off to the coastal resorts and national parks.
Tabacon Hot Springs and Arenal Volcano are two of the must visit destinations within the country, as well as Manuel Antonio National Park. All of these destinations will show you some of the amazing natural sights on offer in the country, with some of the most weird and wonderful nature on offer, as well as bright and colourful flora and fauna.
You could of course combine your break with a city fun, nature, and adventure, as Costa Rica is full of adrenaline activities to enjoy. You can combine calm nature history walking with river rafting on the Pacuare River, before heading off for a spot of tubing, or even zip lining. The options are quite literally endless.
We mentioned the beaches, and this is something we shouldn’t forget to mention again. Because Costa Rica is lapped by the tropical waters of both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, we shouldn’t have to go into too much descriptive detail on how stunning they truly are. Think swaying palm trees, glittering clear sea, and white sand, and you won’t be too far wrong.
Of course, Costa Rica is also an up and coming honeymoon destination, and there are many large five star accommodation options for newlyweds wanting to spend their first holiday as a married couple in complete and utter bliss.
Anyone who is yearning for something a little different from their holiday should be looking towards Costa Rica. This country has it all, and is still under the radar to a certain degree – explore it before it goes mainstream!
